Tough Night For Mvb At Avalon
MVB Racing posted Thursday December 31, 2009.

Mike Van Bremen endured a tough night of racing last night (Dec 30th) at Avalon Raceway for his only scheduled World Series Race. With 46 cars in attendance, it was always going to be critical to time trial well. Unfortunately this is where MVB's night started off badly. A time trial effort of 25th quick put them behind the leading pack from the get go.

Even though MVB managed a solid heat win race, the remaining heat race went pear shaped. One of the front row occupants lost control on the start line and caused 3-4 cars to crash into each other. MVB was the meat in the sandwich. With a damaged race car it was a good effort just to finish the race.

Having to start the B-main from position 7, and with only the top 4 transferring to the A-main, and with some big names in the B-main (Max, Farr, Madsen etc) it was always going to be tough. At about half race distance Farr crashed and the officials decided to declare the race, leaving MVB sitting outside of the top 4 and their night ended there and then.

The next race meeting for MVB will be January 9th at Horsham Raceway for Rnd 6 of the Eureka Series.
