MVB Racing raring to go....

The race season kicks off this Saturday night for MVB Racing when the team contests Rnd 1 of the Eureka Series at Avalon Raceway, Victoria... After a practice session at the same venue a couple of weeks ago, the car and driver have both had a good shake down session, blowing out some cobwebs and ensuring the car is running A ok......

That practice session even saw long time crew member Dean Kavathas have a fling behind the wheel for a couple of hot lap sessions.... Its fair to say it was a big step up for Dean from his usual mount (a Compact Speedcar) to a fully fledged open sprint car.... His first session was short lived as he tried to come to grips with a fairly slick Avalon surface...... unfortunately he gently backed it into the boards... undeterred, we fixed the racecar and sent Dean out again for the last session of the day where he impressed all and sundry with a much smoother approach and turned some very good lap times.... impressive enough that we could even see Dean buckle in for a full race meeting before too long !!
