Mixed results for Team MVB.........

We headed down the road (another short trip) to WSS Rnd 5 @ Avalon last Saturday night for our last WSS race before Christmas. We were greeted with fine weather, not too hot and no sign of rain :-)

We had a disappointing result in the time trials (13th quick out of 27 cars).. This put us midfield in our heats which we only managed to finish 3rd and 5th.... But, this wasnt good enough for a direct start in the A-main, we missed out by 1 position :-(

We started the B-main on pole position and won the race reasonably comfortably to give us a trasfer spot in the A-main.... We started the A-main in 13th place and knowing that the track was going to go away rapidly we elected for a reasonably tight racecar which always makes for interesting handling in the early stages of the race.... Well, all went well and the car was actually quiet nice to drive and within the first couple of laps we had managed to move up from our 13th starting place to 9th but then the driveline decided it no longer wanted to play and broke :-(

So that was the end of our race, unfortunately only registering a 17th place finish....
